MAN301 CD Ripping-101

Okay, next week we will start with a bunch of videos showing how to use the MAN301. But since a lot of people are asking us on the CD ripping feature, these screenshots may show. On current software version 1.0, the MAN301 has to be online in order to perform CD Ripping feature. If you own a MAN301 unit, please ensure your ethernet connection is plugged.

1) After CD is inserted, the CD tab will show up. Here MAN301 goes online to fetch the album artwork and metadata through multiply databases. (But not yet CDDB with software version 1.0)

2) CD Tab Preferences allow you the select the Target format. MAN301 manual suggests FLAC, and I use AIFF all the time. Auto Eject is a good way when the CD is complete ripped.

3) CD Ripping task are launched and Proceed bar will show the status.

4) An extremely detailed CD Ripping report will shown, not only the CD import error, audio error, but also the location of the error on the timeline. This is crazy audiophile behaviors..But at least it is a perfect ripper and as secure as anything in the world. This report can be saved for reference.
